Hey There!
My name is Ashley and welcome to my blog! I am currently revamping it after months of not really understanding how it works, so bare with me!
I am Italian, energetic, high on life, social butterfly, fitness enthusiast, always smiling, positive patty, curly haired, sarcastic 24 year old! <3
I grew up in Michigan my whole life up until 2 years ago when I moved to Washington, DC to further my education. Growing up in Michigan was great! We actually had all 4 seasons, learned how to drive in the snow, there was always a boat to go on in the summer, and camping in the fall. My family and a lot of my friends still live there, so when I go home to visit it is always packed full of things to do and people to see. I have amazing parents, an older sister, bother-in-law (her husband), a twin (yes! a twin!) and 3 adorable nieces all under the age of 5 years old.
In 2014, I was accepted to George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, DC for my MA in Forensic Psychology. My boyfriend and I packed up everything and moved to the east coast. Neither of us had ever been out here before. Going from a place where I knew where every store and shortcut was to not knowing where the grocery store was, let alone public transportation, was definitely an overwhelming experience! It was a hard transition, but I grew SO much because of it. I learned that I can navigate a new city, make new friends, and find my place in the world, all while becoming a strong, independent woman.
I just graduated from GWU this past May {those 2 years went by fast!}. Being a recent college graduate I am looking for that full-time job that will ignite my passion. More than anything I want to make a difference in the world, whether it be through one person or a whole country. Currently I work as an intern for a local agency with the hopes of it launching me into that beginning career position every college graduate wants. I must be patient though because good things come to those who wait {and work} for it!
In my spare time I am also a full time business owner {which I never thought I would hear myself say...EVER!}. Two years ago I signed up as a Beachbody Health and Fitness Coach. It has been a roller coaster of ups and downs. There have been a lot of challenging moments, but a lot of rewards. Not only has this experience helped me step up my fitness/nutrition regimen, but I have been blessed to be a part of so many other people's fitness journeys. They encourage me every day that it is the right track for me (to read more about my Beachbody journey visit 'My Beachbody Journey' on the home page).
My boyfriend, Albert, and I have been dating for 3 1/2 years now and frankly, I don't think we could get sick of each other even if we tried. Everyday is a new adventure. We challenge each other everyday and of course there are those weird quirks we each have, but it is what makes us us :-) Eventually we want to own a fur baby: either a wiener dog named Oscar or a bulldog named Daisy or Busta.
Two of my passions are cooking and organizing. My love of cooking comes from my mom, my obsession with Pinterest, and wanting to make new healthy recipes! Organizing is always something that I have been adamant about; whether is it my planner, closet, purse, etc. Throughout this blog I hope to share these passions, among many other with you!
Thank you for stopping by, take a look around, and always feel welcome to contact me!
